The Tea Party Patriots (national group) has put out an urgent request for election workers in Fairfax county. Anyone who wishes to volunteer does NOT need to live in the county. Please see below if you can be free to help on election day.
From Tea Party Patriots:
|There is an URGENT need for Election Officers in Fairfax County, VA! See the email below from our friends at Election Transparency Initiative! Note that if you are a registered voter anywhere in Virginia that you can work as an Election Officer in any county! So, if you are able to help, but don’t live in Fairfax County, that is ok!
The 2021 election advanced the ball in Virginia in protecting family values, but there is still work to be done. And that’s why we need you immediately!
The Fairfax GOP is recruiting experienced Election Officers to be Chiefs, as well as people with no prior experience to become Election Officers this year.
If you’ve been an election officer in the past, please make the decision to be a chief and don’t delay! If you don’t have experience, then no problem! You’re perfect to be an Election Officer. Sign up now!
One of the benefits of electing a Republican governor last year is that in November, all Election Chiefs at the 264 precincts across Fairfax County will be Republicans, and Democrats will be Assistant Chiefs. But Fairfax is currently short 100 Republican Election Chiefs. If Republicans can’t come up with 264 Republican Chiefs for November 8th, then Democrats will be assigned to be Election Chiefs.
The deadline to apply for a seasonal position is Friday, August 5. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Perhaps the most critical component of election integrity is signing up and showing up to be an election official in your community! By the way, election officials get paid… (hint, hint)
If we’ve learned anything over the past year, it is that if we show up to the polls as election workers in large numbers, it makes it much harder for bad actors to silence our voices and dilute our votes. There was an unprecedented amount of scrutiny for Virginia’s election for Governor due to the significant participation by Virginians serving as volunteer poll workers—and we succeeded!
I hope you will help us fight for free and fair Virginia elections by signing up to be an election official in Fairfax today!
You can find general information about Election Chief pay, training, and other responsibilities here. If you have questions, please contact the Fairfax County Office of Elections at 703-324-4735, or by e-mail at ElectionOfficers@fairfaxcounty.gov
Please sign up today if you can and email to likeminded friends in VA!
