Make your voices heard!  Grab some face time with your Delegates and Senators.  Hear from exciting speakers.  Help us repeal the restrictions passed in 2020 and 2021, and pass Constitutional Carry.

Lobby Day is about all of this, and so much more.  While it’s not the only method we use to restore and protect our rights, it’s an important part of the process.

Each year on the 3rd Monday in January, VCDL members like you come to Richmond, VA.  We form groups and visit every single Delegate and Senator.  At each office we hand them a Legislative Guide, giving a list of the bills we support and oppose, and the reasons why.

Many of the representatives look for our packet.  It gives them talking points to make a case for the good bills and against the bad ones.  They also look forward to hearing from you on which bills you are most passionate about.

Showing up in person makes a distinct impression.  Anyone can sit at a keyboard and fire off an email.  It costs nothing and takes minimal effort.  But when you take the time out of your day to make the trip to Richmond, it shows that you really do care, and that you’re paying attention.  And that gets the attention of the people who are relying on your votes to keep them in office!

Lobbying for your rights is really easy.  All you need to do is show up and join a team!  We have experienced Team Leaders who are equipped with the legislative Guides.  Each Team Leader has assigned offices, so that we make sure not to miss any.  They know the talking points, and will guide their teams through the process.  You can chime in with your own comments, or simply be there to show your support.
