The AP is reporting the following:

The Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are trying to steer attention away from an NAACP resolution condemning racism within the tea party movement.

Jackson deflected the issue Wednesday during the annual convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

They realize they just stepped into a firestorm. The response from the black conservative leaders has been swift. I’d be backpeddling if I were them too. Does anyone else find it peculiar that the NAACP refuses to publish the resolution they passed? What about transparency? Let’s take a look at that resolution! Hmmm…. Maybe they are surprised by the firestorm of criticism.
