New Yorkers would not have to tremble in fear by merely walking a street at night, or fear muggings in stairwells or subways, robberies, rapes and murders, because they would have a fighting chance. Nor would they need multiple locks on their doors. But no, they have accepted that all guns are bad and don’t care who holds them, whether it be U.S. Marines or fanatical terrorists bent on destroying this country. They have also forgotten the history of our Founding and even recent history, which makes the clear case that the biggest and “best” mass murderers are governments. Acceptance of this un-American philosophy has forced them to forgo their rights and kneel before the government Leviathan for succor. And boy, are they getting it! (Anybody for a Big Gulp?)
Of the inventor of the revolver, Samuel Colt, it was said, “God made big men and God made small men, but Sam Colt made them equal.” If we compare the present situation in New York (and other “enlightened” centers of Liberalism) to a tennis game, it’s “Advantage Thug.”
PS: To her credit, Judge Scheindlin wrote in her opinion, “Many police practices may be useful for fighting crime – preventive detention or coerced confessions, for example – but because they are unconstitutional, they cannot be used, no matter how effective.”
