Level 1 – July 22 & 23 Nelson County (Roseland VA) Taught 1/2 each evening, 5:30 – 9pm – DETAILS (.pdf)
The Level 1 course, Foundations in Self Governance, introduces the concepts of self governance and civic authority. It is designed to bring the student to a common understanding of their role in leveraging self governance and exercising civic authority. This course is foundational and lays the ground work necessary to successfully implement lessons learned in future classes.

Level 2 – July 26th, Nelson County (Roseland VA) 10am – 6pm – DETAILS (.pdf)
The Level 2 course, Macro Understanding of Government, introduces federal, state, county and city levels of government. It is designed to broaden the student’s understanding of the inter-relationship between government jurisdictions, partisan politics and the self governing. This course encapsulates the student’s basis of authority from which they will operate the mechanism of self governance.

Virginia Constitution Class – July 25th – Richmond. Class pre-requisite: Students must have completed L1 & L2. – DETAILS (.pdf)
The State Constitution class exposes the student to the distribution and organization of powers and duties of government. The student will learn how to discover the relationships within and between
the departments of state government, the delegated authorities, and the legal subdivisions within the state. This is a special class designed for Virginia students who have the foundation of, and met the certification requirements of, levels 1 & 2. You will be shocked and amazed by the implications of what is IN, and what is NOT IN, our Virginia Constitution.
