No, Healthcare is not a “right”.
About the Author: Eric M
Eric uncomfortably admits that until about 15 years ago, he was a political "free rider", always thinking that others would do the heavy lifting to keep America on course. After watching both democrats and republicans steer us FAR in the wrong direction, Eric knew he had to get involved. Now working with Richmond Tea Party to advance conservative principles, Eric serves on the Board of Directors and as a resource for "all things technology".

By allowing government to forcefully take workers’ earnings (taxes) and redistribute them to people who did not earn them, universal healthcare is indeed akin to slavery. How else do you define slavery than taking the fruits of labor from a worker by force? It also seems that the government is choosing to sacrifice education (primarily for the young) for healthcare (primarily for the old). Should we be sacrificing our childrens’ future for the old? It should be the other way around. Parents are supposed to sacrifice so that their children and grand children have a better life. Are a few more years tacked onto the end of your life worth trading away your childrens’ and grandchildrens’ future opportunity?
