Greetings D.J. Spiker,
Your article on the Virginia Tea Party Alliance was an interesting critique of our first year in Commonwealth politics. My question to you is “Where does all of this venom you spew come from?” Once more, we go down the road to why the Tea Party movement in Virginia is growing stronger everyday. It is the arrogance and condescension of the Political Elites that drives good folks to do their own thing.
The Republican Party establishment ignores us, and at every turn, it does its best to pooh-pooh our ideas. We are citizens organizing to bring sanity, common sense, and constitutional adherence back to our Federal, State, and Local governments.
So judging us on our level of political savvy misses the point; frankly, that is your problem, not ours. The fix is simple: We will continue to increase our numbers and learn from our experiences.
I’ll end with a bit of advice… consider Psalm 36:11; maybe you’ll learn something: Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me. .
Sincerely,
B. F. Isenhour
