As someone who was too young to seriously follow current events when Ronald Reagan was President, I continue to be amazed at every speech of his I listen to now, how relevant his words spoken decades ago remain today. The following video from the Republican Study Committee takes bits from one of his speeches and applies them to today’s big government politicians trying to take as much power as they can from We the People and transfer it to We the Government:
As powerful as I think this video is, I must admit I’m a little cynical because it comes from the Republican Party, which has had its own issues with government expansion and ignoring the Constitution. Let’s just hope that the fact they made it, though, means that politicians in larger numbers are finally catching on that the American people want to be free from government, rather than ruled by it.
