7th District Debate This Evening 7:00 – 9:00

The League of Women Voters and the Richmond First Club are sponsoring a debate tonight between the 7^th congressional district candidates Floyd Bayne (I) and Rick Waugh (D). Incumbent Republican Eric Cantor declined to participate. The debate is scheduled for 7:00 – 9:00pm at the Tuckahoe branch of the Henrico County Public Library located at 1901 Starling Drive (off Parham Road). Lou Dean will moderate.

I’m glad this is happening, because Mr. Waugh unfortunately had to cancel his appearance at the Virginia Tea Party Convention 7^th district forum Saturday. Mr. Bayne did attend, though, addressing a standing-room only crowd on a wide range of issues. Now we’ll have an opportunity to hear from Mr. Waugh as well as see how Mr. Bayne handles a debate.
