Thanks to everyone who attended the first Goochland Tea Party “Grass Roots” meeting that was held at the Goochland Library on June 8th. Your attendance demonstrated that you care about the future of your community and how government affects the American way of life for you, your loved ones, and your neighbors. We invite you to join us again.

On THURSDAY, JULY 15TH from 7 to 8 p.m., we will have a general Tea Party meeting at the Goochland High School Auditorium. This will be an opportunity to come together as a community to promote the type of changes that reflect the “voice of the people” on a local, state, and national level.

There’ll be something for everyone. But why come alone? Personalize this e-mail and extend the invitation to all your family, friends, and neighbors! Chances are they share the values of the Goochland Tea Party movement.

Our founding fathers were there in July 1776 to declare our independence which led to the establishment our Constitution and our nation. Now in July 2010, we are the Keepers, so please stand with us to reclaim the republic and restore our liberties.

We are excited about our new Facebook Fan Page — please become a fan! Enter Goochland Tea Party in the Facebook search box.

We also have an email address: goochland@richmondteaparty.com. Let us know what you are thinking and how you’d like to get involved!

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the Government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the Government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interest.”

— Patrick Henry
