A Freshman Congressman Who “Gets It”

…was on C-Span call-in program this morning. It’s all about math; politics provides nothing more than a distraction, and the Congressman gets plenty of callers who illustrate the point. The math of federal fiscal policy doesn’t work anymore. Pay attention especially starting at about 7 minutes where the Congressman expresses his frustration with political posturing (lying) and the “ratcheting up the theater and the rhetoric.”

When can the adults start talking about reality? WHEN? I WANT TO KNOW.

“How do you get Congress…how do you get this Washington DC to look the American people in the eye and tell them the truth about how bad the financial situation is?”

I wish I knew. I’ve been trying for two years to get people to understand it and I have failed miserably.

“And it’s one of my great frustrations.”
