As you’ve listened to and researched various dire prophecies regarding the implementation of Obamacare, have you wondered where the voices of American physicians have been?  After all, these are the “first do no harm” group, and considering the tremendous potential harm to their patients, you’d think they’d be as anti-Obamacare as they are anti-tobacco, fatty foods, bad cholesterol and other predictable harms to patient health and well being.

We all saw the staged group of folks in alb coats, handed out by the Administration to provide a theatrical backdrop to the signing of the Obamacare legislation.  But where have those true medical professionals been, those who truly apply their “first do no harm” oath to their medical practices?  They are, thankfully, gathered under the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS).   Since the associations was founded in 1943, their motto has been “omnia pro aegroto”, which means “all for the patient.”  A far cry from the starstruck “extras” in white coats straight from “wardrobe” stage left, these medical professionals think and act with a sense of responsibility all too rare in every profession these days.

Please take a few minutes to browse the very straightforward AAPS website, including the “Issues” tab, which contains impact statements on matters including Immigration, the AMA and Obamacare.  You’ll feel, perhaps, a bit less abandoned by those who must surely know the truth.
